Wildflower, a cocktail bar and upscale eatery, will soon be debuting in Sanford, according to recent public records. The establishment will be located at 107 Magnolia Ave, near classic local restaurants such as Christo’s and The Breezeway.
“We have another Wildflower in Orlando. The only thing is that when we opened Wildflower in Baldwin Park was part of a larger, private restaurant that was already there,” co-owner Ricky Galicia tells What Now Orlando. “At the upcoming Sanford location, we’ll actually be directing more of the decor, menu, and such.”
“The decor will be new-age, contemporary, art deco and we are going to focus on craft cocktails, beers, and an actual food menu—light bites for hanging out, like tapas, and a limited menu of main entrees.”
When asked to define the cuisine more specifically, Mr. Galicia offers a simple, but very Floridian vision.
“The cuisine that we’re going for is some type of Latin fusion with a southern comfort take on it.”
What can readers expect from the actual space?
“It’ll be almost 3000 square feet, we will have tables outside, and a good lounge and bar area with a big dining room inside. It is first and foremost a cocktail bar, but with a menu that can place it beyond being just a bar.”
Mr. Galicia adds there is no set date for opening.
“We want to make sure it’s decorated and up to par with our vision and then it’s just waiting for our permits.”
