Torchy’s Tacos Coming to Vineland Pointe

The popular Texas-based Tex-Mex fusion chain Torchy’s Tacos will soon be opening a location in Orlando. The restaurant will be located at 11757 Daryl Carter Parkway, within Vineland Pointe. This location, yet unannounced on the brand’s official website, comes alongside the Altamonte Springs location set to open “soon”, per the website.

“These locations will be our first Torchy’s Tacos in Florida, but we see potential to continue to grow in the state and are exploring opportunities to bring our ‘damn good tacos’ to more communities,” Torchy’s wrote in a written statement to The Orlando Business Journal over a year ago. “We look forward to sharing more information about our plans soon.”

Defining their “mantra” on the official website, Torchy’s states “In living by our Damn Good mantra, we’re constantly innovating to ensure we’re delivering the tastiest tacos, queso, and margaritas in the game. Our Taco of the Month promotions allow us to provide unique tacos to all our Taco Junkies year ’round. We also pride ourselves by hiring Damn Good people who develop one-of-a-kind partnerships in each community we serve.”

Torchy’s Tacos menu is a unique entry in the broader Tex-Mex cuisine, featuring wildly inventive tacos with fillings such as fried chicken, fried avocados, Beyond Beef, and Jamaican jerk chicken. The chain also provides a full offerings of beer and liquor, along with juices, sangria, and margarita.

What Now Orlando reached out to Jay Wald, Director of Operations, to inquire about the restaurant’s potential opening dates, but he was not immediately available for comment.
