The Flying Biscuit Café opened its first Orlando-market café on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at 6079 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy Fl 347, Kissimmee, FL 34747, serving breakfast and lunch daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Franchise partners John and Gisela Terranova own and operate the café, their first with the brand.
The café seats 108 — 60 in a 2,456-square-foot dining room and 48 on a 1,455-square-foot patio — with free on-site parking, carry-out, delivery and full-service catering. The Terranovas have hired 23 people so far and are still filling out the opening team; applications are open at
flyingbiscuit.com/careers, selecting the Kissimmee location. The menu runs all-day breakfast alongside lunch — stuffed French toast, shrimp and grits, omelets, vegan scrambles, burgers and wraps.
The site sits on US-192 (West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway), one of Central Florida’s most heavily traveled corridors, near the community of Celebration and a few miles from Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. It is the only Flying Biscuit in the Orlando area; the nearest cafés are in The Villages and Gainesville. The Terranovas spent more than a year evaluating franchise concepts before choosing the brand, and picked the corridor for a trade area that draws travelers early and neighborhoods that stay busy the rest of the morning.
“We’re a few miles from Disney and Universal on a road that never stops moving, so we’ll be feeding travelers and neighbors in the same morning. I looked at a lot of concepts before this one, and the food is what settled it. I can’t wait to get our biscuits and grits in front of this
community,” said John Terranova, franchise partner, The Flying Biscuit Café – Kissimmee in a statement.
John Terranova brings more than three decades in restaurant operations to the café. He started as a cook, moved onto the opening crew for a national chain and helped open 17 units in two years, then spent the following decades in kitchen manager and general manager roles across
several restaurant brands. He is joined by franchise partner Gisela Terranova. The pair were represented in the lease transaction by Chris Taddei, co-founder of The List Orlando.
“Orlando is a market we have wanted for years, and John and Gisela are the kind of operators you hope get there first,” said Andrew Scherzer, partner and director of franchise development, Flying Biscuit Franchising. “John has spent 30 years running great restaurants for other people, and he brings all of that to his own café. Florida is a big part of where this brand is headed, and we could not ask for a better start in Orlando.”
The Flying Biscuit Café Kissimmee is the brand’s 45th café, with 11 more in development across eight states. Prospective operators can see available markets, investment requirements and how to start a conversation at flyingbiscuitfranchising.com, or call the franchise sales line at
