Enjoining guests to “Eat Fresh + Buy Local + Be Well,” Berry Fresh Cafe, a Floridian breakfast and lunch chain, has three locations currently operating in Jupiter, Stuart, and Port St. Lucie. And now—“Here we grow again!” says the Berry Fresh website—the restaurant is planning to grow its South Florida footprint with a new location in Palm Beach Gardens.

“Berry Fresh Cafe is founded on fresh food served in a fun, friendly manner,” owner Mitchell Timoteo told What Now on Thursday. “We have an emphasis on brunch, a full bar, and everything farm-to-table.”

With what Timoteo calls “slow and steady growth,” the brand has built a following in the fourteen years since it was founded by Timoteo’s late father, longtime restaurateur Reginald Timoteo.

“We’re doing this in his honor,” said Timoteo, adding that the third generation—Mitchell Timoteo’s son Michael—has also joined the business. “It’s a family affair.”

Berry Fresh Cafe offers breakfast and brunch favorites ranging from classic omelets and two-eggs-potatoes-and-bacon breakfast combos to more elaborate offerings like Redneck Eggs Benedict (A homemade freshly-baked biscuit layered with fresh sausage patties & poached eggs, topped with sausage gravy & scratch-made Hollandaise sauce) and Jalapeño Red Pepper Jelly Chicken N Waffles.

Luncheon Favorites include a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and a Birria Beef Sammie, and guests looking for something on the lighter side will be happy to find choices like the Healthy Start Chicken Eggwhite Scramble and the Spring Berry Acai Bowl.

Timoteo says Berry Fresh is probably most famous for its Bananas & Blueberries Foster Stuffed French Toast—also for its insistence on freshness.

“We’re all fresh cooking. We bake our own biscuits, squeeze our own juice, hand cut our own potatoes,” said Timoteo. “Everything’s from scratch, and we think that makes the difference.”

Berry Fresh Cafe is expected to open in Palm Beach Gardens’ Shoppes of Oakbrook plaza this summer. You can stay up to date on Berry Fresh news by following @berryfresh.cafe on Instagram.
