The family-owned fast-casual brand, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, will be opening a new location in a newly planned “master shopping center” in Queen Creek, according to a permit obtained by What Now Phoenix. There was no address listed.
The 2,400-square-foot space will be one of more than 100 locations across California and Arizona. Since 2002, it has offered authentic Hawaiian and island-inspired cuisine cooking from scratch daily with the freshest available ingredients.
Its menu includes chicken, beef/pork, and seafood plates with two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and veggies. All meats are marinated or served with sauces including Hawaiian BBQ, katsu, lemon pepper teriyaki, spicy island fire and yellow curry. It also offers gourmet salads and appetizer sides, including musubis, crispy shrimp, and crab rangoon.
A representative of Ono Hawaiian BBQ did not return a request for comment.
“With locations in California and Arizona, we aim to combine the culture and ‘aloha’ spirit of Hawaii into our restaurants to bring a taste of the islands with exceptional service in an inviting atmosphere,” the restaurant chain says on its website.
