EZBachi Opening First-Ever Hibachi Drive-Thru in Phoenix

The company is also expanding to San Antonio and El Paso this year

EZBachi, a fast-casual Japanese teppanyaki grill, has announced plans to open the first-ever hibachi drive-thru in Phoenix.

The company, owned and operated by founder Jerry Curiel, plans to expand throughout Arizona and Texas, according to a press release. While the new drive-thru EZBachi in Phoenix will be a corporate-owned location, the company announced a second franchise-owned location coming to the area. EZBachi also plans to expand to Texas this year through franchising, with locations coming to San Antonio and El Paso. All locations are expected to open by the end of the year.

“Our team has worked hard over the past few months, vetting potential franchisees, seeking out the best-of-the-best to represent the EZBachi brand, and finding the best site for our new hibachi drive-thru,” Curiel said in a press release. “I’m excited to have connected with each and every one of our new franchise owners and am thrilled to get our delicious food into the hands of more people.”

Curiel launched the brand in 2020 as Arizona’s first hibachi food truck, eventually landing a brick-and-mortar in downtown Phoenix. EZBachi has grown so popular in the area that it landed a spot on the exclusive vendor list for the Super Bowl LVII this year. The company continues to look for new franchise partners to expand the brand even more.

“We’re already seeing strong traction since we launched our franchise opportunity last year, so my hope is that potential franchise buyers will recognize that we have something incredibly unique and want to help us share it with everyone,” Curiel said.
