According to recent public records, Dan’s Hamburgers is expanding in town.

A TDLR filing states that the newest location of the growing burger brand will be coming to 844 Airport Blvd in Austin. Construction will cover a “Restaurant with indoor Dining and Drive Thru Lane”, covering an estimated 3178 square feet. The project is expected to cost around $1.2 million.

“DAN’S has been an Austin tradition since 1973 and is still family owned and operated. Presently we have four convenient locations and plan to grow,” the official website states.

“DAN’S motto has always been to consistently serve good food at a fair price, to treat our customers like family, give them their money’s worth, and they’ll be back. We’ve learned many lessons from listening to Dan and our customers.”

For readers who may not know the local establishment, Dan’s serves up not just burgers and fries but a full menu of diner foods such as pancakes, hashbrowns, sandwiches, and pancakes in a midcentury American diner ambiance.

What Now Austin reached out to President Katie Congdon, but did not receive comment by time of publication.
