A Delaware pizza Cinderella story is entering the next stage of its happily ever after. Nick’s Pizza-which began humbly enough with a successful Instagram account and a pop-up space-is opening a new, larger location in the Shoppes of Graylyn, reports Delaware Online.

Owner Nick Vouras will be joined by new partners David and Joanne Govatos for the newest incarnation of his flagship concept. The pizzeria will retain all of the menu items locals have come to love when it opens at 1716 Marsh Road later this year. However, Nick’s will undergo a slight name change while indulging in a bit of nostalgia when it takes over the 4,725 square foot space, which formerly housed Ulysses American Gastropub.

Now answering to Nick’s Pizza Parlor & Bar, the restaurant will embrace a retro feel, with Vouras slinging his celebrated pies and the Govatos overseeing a new beverage program. The restaurant’s Instagram page describes the new concept as a “ love letter to the pizza parlors of the 70s & 80s.” In addition to greater space to serve customers, the new space will feature a bar and televisions.

An official opening date is not yet available, however Wilmington diners won’t have to wait too much longer to enjoy a piping hot slice of pizza in a cozy environment; Vouras and the Govatos are aiming to open in February. A social media post states that the menu will feature “Pizza, Beer, Wine, Cocktails, Cheesesteaks, Pasta & more!”
