According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery listed as Takumi Sushi is preparing to open in San Carlos.

Coming to 741 Laurel Street, the restaurant will land near establishments such as the German spot Bistro Mitte, the Italian eatery Spasso, and the steak restaurant Town.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, Jin Liu, to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, drawing from the upcoming establishment’s name and the filing, the eatery will likely offer Japanese cuisine, as well as a selection of beer and wine.

Liu is also the owner of Aji Ichi Japanese Restaurant at 695 San Mateo Avenue in San Bruno, as well as V8 Cabinets Inc. in South El Monte.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
