According to Oaklandside, Dog Haus at 1407 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley — near establishments such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, REI, and Super Super Pho — has temporarily shuttered.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the outpost’s franchisee — Nathan Johnson of Ops House of Dogs LLC, as well as Oakland’s Drexl bar — to inquire about the closure, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, “Dog Haus has garnered critical acclaim and national attention for its signature all beef Haus Dogs and handcrafted proprietary Haus Sausages, as well as its 100% genetically tested, humanely raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free Black Angus beef from Creekstone Farms,” according to the company’s website.

Founded in Pasadena in 2010, Dog Haus currently operates over 50 locations nationwide.

A reopening date has not been announced yet. Follow Dog Haus on Facebook for updates.
