A new cafe is coming to Heritage Oaks Park.
Emile’s Cafe is planned for 1300 Lake Washington Boulevard, the Sacramento Business Journal reports. The eatery is expected to serve espresso beverages, pastries, and grab-and-go items. They could eventually serve beer and wine in the evenings, but for now, the focus is on the café, according to the news outlet.
The eatery comes from the owners of Whitey’s Jolly Kone, a family-owned restaurant also in West Sacramento. The burger spot was founded in 1963 by Emile “Whitey” Boisclair.
Emile’s Cafe was selected after the City of West Sacramento put out a request for proposals from “qualified and experienced food service operators” interested in operating a cafe at Heritage Oaks Park. The space includes a 1,800-square-foot building with 1,100 square feet of usable outdoor patio space. The site was previously used as a concession and training area for a ropes course called Tree Top Sac.
Co-owner Kevin Ericson told What Now Sacramento that it is expected to open in March 2025.
