According to recent reporting in Eater, popular Korean American wine bar and bottle shop Underdog, located in Bouldin Creek, will hold its last day of service on Saturday, March 8.

After its upcoming closure, owners Claudia Lee and Richard Hargreave will be partnering with a chef to “transform the wine bar’s current space into a neighborhood restaurant come May 2025.”

Citing a statement from Lee, Eater adds that after operating as a pop up, then as a wine bar, the team is now ready to execute a full-fledged restaurant “which is set to offer a homey gathering place and ‘low-intervention,’ sustainable wines.”

“Our mission is to serve food you want to eat – with wine you want to drink. Our Korean-inspired menu is full of delicious appetizers, kimchi, grilled goodies, and desserts, paired with an ever-changing wine list that is sure to make you want to keep coming back for more,” the official website states.

No exact opening date has been announced.
