Johnson’s Real Ice Cream announced the grand opening of its newest location at 4290 Home Road in Powell on Thursday, March 6. This marks the first of three store openings planned as part of the company’s 75th anniversary celebration this year.

To commemorate the occasion, doors will open to the public at 6 p.m., and Johnson’s Real Ice Cream will offer free single scoops to guests from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Each guest can enjoy a complimentary scoop of their favorite flavor. Additionally, the first 50 customers will receive a free limited-edition 75th anniversary t-shirt. Throughout the evening, attendees can also look forward to surprise giveaways.

“We’re thrilled to open the first of our two Powell locations and bring Johnson’s Real Ice Cream to even more families in the central Ohio area,” said Matt Wilcoxon, president of Johnson’s Real Ice Cream in a statement. “As we celebrate 75 years of making our family recipe ice creams, this expansion allows us to continue our tradition of serving up delicious treats and creating sweet memories for generations to come.”

Following the Powell, Home Road opening, two additional Johnson’s Real Ice Cream locations will open later this spring. The Powell Liberty Street location, at 50 S. Liberty St., Powell, Ohio 43065, is set to open in April, while the Pickerington shop, at 192 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, Ohio 43147, will open in May.
