Rina Bo and her husband, Seyla Nut, plan to open Wayback Burgers fast-casual restaurant this June at 9861 Lake District Drive North.

Rina and Seyla have owned and operated U.S. Donuts in Cordova, Tennessee, for the past nine years. After many early mornings spent in the breakfast business, they look forward to beginning a new endeavor in the vibrant Lake District, where growth and improvements are happening fast.

“I’m looking forward to serving the community there. We’ll bring the good quality of Wayback Burgers and jobs to the community,” franchisee Rina Bo tells What Now Memphis

The newest Wayback Burgers joint continues a brand born in 1991 and boasting more than 170 locations in more than 40 countries. The 1800-square-foot Lakeland Wayback Burgers restaurant will be the fourth of its kind in the state.

The company prides itself on serving simple, good-quality food to hardworking people and partnering with the community to support local charity organizations. The experience and the nostalgia are at least as important as the food.

“Coming here is a treat. It’s a place for everyone to feel comfortable, and no one is excluded. It feels revived — young and fresh with a nod to how things were ‘back in the day’ but with a twist,” says the website.

At Wayback, patrons can choose from old standbys like the Big Easy, the Carolina or the Impossible Melt, or craft their own creation choosing from fresh ingredients and sauces. Side offerings include fried pickles, mac & cheese bites, onion rings and milkshakes. The expansive menu also features hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and more. Wayback likes to think there’s a little something for everyone.
