At the beginning of the year, What Now Memphis reported on Belly Acres’ plans to expand into Southaven, though an exact address and opening timeline were unknown. Now, more specific details have been released.

According to a report from The Commercial Appeal, the new Belly Acres will open in Silo Square at 2841 May Blvd, in the same building as Magnolia Soap and Bath Company. Initially, the restaurant was slated to open near Silo Square’s silo, but that site will now be occupied by Rotolo’s Craft & Crust.

Founded by restaurateur Ben McLean and chef Rob Ray, Belly Acres is known for its farm-to-table approach to classic American fare like chicken tenders and hamburgers. The restaurant offers 100% grass-fed meat and free-range chicken, as well as vegan and vegetarian options.

Although the original Overton Square locale closed in the fall of 2023, the newer East Memphis location remains open.

Lexie Hill Grisanti, Silo Square’s Director of Marketing & Real Estate, told The Commercial Appeal that the new Southaven site will feature some exciting menu changes, although she did not disclose specific details.

Belly Acres Southaven is expected to open late this year.
