Boka restaurant group remains staunchly productive, even in the throes of an ongoing pandemic. The group recently announced the opening of GG’s Chicken Shop, helmed by Executive Chef Lee Wolen, and which is slated for Southport Corridor, in the space that last housed Southport Lanes.

In addition to the two unannounced eateries that will join GG’s by March 2022, Boka has now announced the opening of Le Select, a new French concept to be orchestrated by Executive Chef Daniel Rose. Le Select, according to Eater Chicago, is expected to open at 504 N. Wells Street by summer 2022.

Chef Rose, originally from Chicago’s North Shore, has spent recent years in New York City and Paris. His restaurant, Le Coucou, was awarded a Michelin Star in 2019. Eater reports the restaurant will offer elevated, “straightforward” French cuisine in a bustling brasserie.

Boka was co-founded by Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm in 2002 and operates eateries like Chef Stephanie Izard’s Girl and the Goat, Momotaro, GT Prime Steakhouse, and, of course, Boka, the restaurant from Wolen that held a Michelin Star from 2011-2020.
