Rosebud Steakhouse Coming to Munster’s Centennial Village

Rosebud Steakhouse is opening a new location in Chicagoland, this time in Munster, IN, at 9601 Calumet Ave.

The new restaurant will sit in the new Centennial Village, a luxury community in Munster that features 172 meticulously designed condo units, a Marriott hotel, and dining and shopping options. This will be the company’s second location, following the initial Chicago site at 192 E. Walton St. Construction for the new Rosebud Steakhouse began in April, which includes the demolition and reconstruction of the former El Salto restaurant. The restaurant is slated to open sometime in the Summer of 2022.

“When Aldo brought this project to our firm, we knew that we could draw from our extensive experience in commercial construction and high-end spaces to carry-out Rosebud’s vision,” said Bob Nomellini, COO of Construction operations at The Missner Group. “It’s a fun and exciting concept for Munster and one that is sure to be a success. We’re pleased to be a part of the project and look forward to working closely with Rosebud Restaurants.”

When the new Rosebud Steakhouse opens later this year, customers can expect an upscale Italian menu in a communal and neighborly setting. There will be ample dining space, a bar lounge area, a private dining room, and a state-of-the-art kitchen. The restaurant will include luxury finishes and high-end lighting throughout.

If the second location mirrors the first’s, Munster residents should be very excited about this new restaurant. The Chicago location, which opened in 1976, features a -day dry-aged Kansas City strips, Cowboy Cut bone-in ribeyes, and a wide selection of wet-aged steaks like a New York strip, Delmonico ribeye, filet mignon, petit filet, and bone-in filet. Outside of the traditional cuts of beef, the menu includes lamb chops, veal chops, Berkshire pork chops, salmon, sea bass, Dover Sole, chicken, and pasta.
