A brand new Ohio-based chicken restaurant called CityBird Tenders is making its Chicago debut in Greektown, located at 120 S. Halsted St.

This will become the sixth location for the Thunderdome Restaurant Group, with three sites in Cincinnatti, one in Crestview Hills, KY., and one coming soon to Fishers, IN. When the new location opens, customers can expect cage-free, free-roaming, all-natural chicken that is brined, dredged, then dropped into custom-built fryers. On top of that, all CityBird Tender’s sauces are made from scratch every day from real ingredients.

Like most chicken shops, the menu is limited but full of flavor. As the name suggests, customers won’t be finding many other chicken options here other than tenders. The restaurant offers tender packs from 3-11 tenders, tender sandwiches, and a few sides and salads. Some house-made sauce flavors include lemon thyme ranch, buffalo bleu, and hot honey.

Although news of the new locations broke last year, the restaurant is still working on its grand opening. Despite the site not being listed on the company’s website, Greektown residents and visitors should see this chicken shop open before the end of the year. When it opens, it will become one of the primary chicken restaurant in the area, only having to compete with Popeyes and Toreore.
