Fulla Bologna, one of the most authentic sandwiches, subs, and pizza restaurants in the Chicago area, is opening a new location in Rogers Park at 2101 W. Touhy Ave.

Owner Rich Ranieri confirms with What Now Chicago that the company’s new location will move into Rogers Park. The restaurant will move into the former home of Bacci Pizza later this year. Fulla Bologna makes all of its delicious menu items with Mama Ranieri’s authentic Italian recipes using top-quality ingredients. The restaurant is currently found in Bloomingdale and Elmurst, although the latter is temporarily closed. Fulla Bologna will be the only pizzeria near the corner of Touhy Avenue and Ridge Boulevard.

When the restaurant opens, customers can expect various sandwiches, soups, and other Italian classics. There are sixteen sandwich choices with names like “Plead the 5th,” “Malarkey,” and “Con Artist.” Build-your-own sandwiches are also available. Following the theme, these sandwiches come in two sizes: the six-inch Fibber or the ten-inch Pinocchio. In addition to a soup of the day, there is also a special Fibber or Pinocchio sandwich of the day. If that wasn’t enough, Fulla Bologna features antipasto platters, freshly made pizza, Italian coffee, cookies, and Nutella croissants.

“This is a homey, family-run place – the kind you might encounter in Italy,” according to the company’s website. “There is comfort and good humor here – combined with the best ingredients possible and offered at reasonable prices. The food is fresh, imaginative, and delicious. It’s the real deal. Whether you dine in, take out or have your delicious meal delivered, we ensure you’ll love our homemade goodness!”
