Ambrosia Foods, the local elevated catering service, is opening a brand new eatery called Allez Cafe in Bucktown, located at 2241 N. Western Ave.

The new cafe will move into the former home of Chay Fretello’s, with signage already in the space’s windows. Owner Jason Melamed tells What Now Chicago he is hoping to open Allez Cafe around mid-March 2023. During the day, the cafe will offer elevated coffee and pastry shop. With the majority of the team behind this Allez Cafe coming from fine dining, Melamed plans to transform the space at night to an elevated dining experience with special events, such as a tasting menu night.

Melamed opened Ambrosia Foods just two years ago during the pandemic as a way to redefine the experience of workplace dining. A few services the company offers include catering for corporate dining events and custom meal prep. The team behind these delicious meals has over ten years of experience cooking in rigorous Michelin-starred kitchens in Chicago and gastronomic capitals such as Los Angeles and Paris. The Ambrosia Foods team will take their dining experience to the next level with Allez Cafe.

“We believe that great food starts with great ingredients, so our creative dishes are locally sourced and made from scratch every day,” according to Ambrosia Foods’ website. “Then they are prepared in thoughtful ways that elevate their natural flavors.”
