1280 East Dundee Road will be seeing a new resident restaurant on its property.
During a phone call with What Now Chicago on Friday the co-owner of Aragvi Georgian Bakery, Emmanuil Ivanoff stated they are currently in the permitting phase of opening their second location.
When asked about the projected opening date Emmanuil expressed to What Now Chicago, “We are not sure, August 14th we will know more.” With a hearing for the permits coming up the business will have an approximate opening date for their Dundee Road location.
The new restaurant will have a different environment from their brick and mortar shop. Unlike the existing bakeshop, they will have a full restaurant and bar. They are looking to keep a bakeshop in the new concept.
The new restaurant’s menu will offer traditional Georgian faire as well as classic baked goods, much like their existing bakery-cafe in Buffalo Grove. The bakery will continue offering the same items.
While chatting with What Now Chicago, Emmanuil opened up, “We really hope it goes well.”
