Atomic Hospitality Group’s Tabu is set to see its counterpart open in Downtown Chicago at 5050 North Broadway Street. Tabu Tambien will be the second Tabu location in Chicago (también is Spanish for “also”).

The opening date is still unknown as Blake Rohrabaugh, Director of Operations at Atomic, was not available for comment when contacted by What Now Chicago earlier this week.

Tabu Tambien is set to be located in The Draper apartment building according to a liquor license application.

Menu items at the original Tabu offers elevated Mexican food options, such as, lobster taquitos and truffle gnocchi tacos. Tabu has a full Mezcal tequila drink list as well as a beer and wine menu.

The lofty Mexican joint is known for a sit-down dining environment with a finer dining feel.

Atomic Hospitality is a hospitality and event group behind Untitled Supper Club, Recess, Tabú, Tetto, Morgan MFG, Artifact Events and City Hall. This Chicago based group just opened Tabu on 401 North Morgan Street in May of 2022 and is adding Tabu Tambien to be its eighth outpost in the Chicago area.
