Wilson told What Now Dallas in an email that he has shut down all operations for Sweet Pearl’s Ice Cream until they open the new location in Garland. Gibson said they hope to begin serving customers from their planned spot on Coneflower Dr. sometime this summer.
The menu offers rotating flavors and several staples–Sweet Pearls, which is a sweet cream ice cream that includes scratch-made sugar cookies, and Mint Oreos ice cream. Sweet Pearl’s also offers vegan ice cream.
Gibson started making ice cream in December of 2021 after a bicycle accident left him with physical limitations. Gibson named the brand after a dog he found dumped at a lake near his home. Sweet Pearl is now part of his family.
