A growing chain known for its cookie ice cream sandwiches is making its way to Myrtle Beach, courtesy of franchisees Michael and Sarah Giamoni. The Baked Bear is poised to open its doors at 1325 Celebrity Circle, inside the Broadway at the Beach shopping mall. The duo is aiming for an April 26, 2024 grand opening, but this date is subject to change due to ongoing construction.

With nearly thirty locations nationwide and several in the works, The Baked Bear has experienced remarkable growth since founders Rob Robbins and Shane Stanger left their careers to establish their first store in Pacific Beach, CA, back in May 2013. From its humble beginnings to its current stature, the franchise has consistently drawn crowds, earning praise from publications like Forbes, Eater, and Thrillist.

The Baked Bear boasts an extensive menu featuring over a dozen freshly baked original-recipe cookies and a variety of ice cream flavors. Guests can customize their treats by mixing and matching cookies or brownies for the top and bottom layers while selecting their preferred ice cream flavor for the filling.

In addition to the classic cookie and brownie ice cream sandwiches, the menu includes tempting options like hot fudge sundaes and the “Bear Bowl,” which allows patrons to pair a hot cookie or brownie with any ice cream scoop and toppings of their choosing. The establishment also caters to dietary preferences with its gluten-free and vegan selections.

Keep an eye out for further updates as the grand opening date draws near.
