A vibrant new culinary addition is coming to the Uptown neighborhood. Xiquita Restaurant & Bar is poised to make its mark this year, although an exact address has not been announced yet.

Xiquita (phonetically “Chiquita”) will bring a fresh take on traditional flavors. The eatery will specialize in bringing Mesoamerican culture into the dining experience. Nixtamalization is used to produce corn masa, just like in olden times.

Chef Erasmo “Ras” Casiano, owner of the concept, told What Now Denver a lease has been signed, and remodeling efforts and liquor licensing are currently in the works. He hopes the opening will take place in late spring.

“We’re excited to explore the flavors of Mexico with our guests and cannot wait to serve Uptown Denver and surrounding communities,” said Casiano, who also owns Create Foods, Create Kitchen & Bar, and Lucina Eatery & Bar. He also has an impressive resume working at respected local establishments in the past.
