The brand known for its modern approach to classic Mexican comfort food will soon come to The Gulch at 636 Division St. Federales Tequila and Tacos will open sometime in 2024 in the building previously used as The Albion’s pre-leasing center.
With locations already open in Chicago, Denver, and Dallas, Federales has expanded rapidly since its inception in 2016 in the Windy City. Its parent company, Four Corners, is overseeing its growth in Nashville and will ensure that the new location fits the vibe of The Gulch’s creative and industrial culture.
Described on its website as a lofty, open-air restaurant and bar concept with a casual atmosphere, Federales focuses on its curated menu of 14 different tacos, with standouts including a plant-based Nashville hot cauliflower taco and a lamb quesabirria taco with consomé, as well as offering weekend brunch and beer bucket specials, as stated on its online menu.
The new location will feature an outdoor patio as well as local art. Three of the existing Federales locations host a monthly art series where guests can watch local artists create artwork live, according to its website.
“Federales Nashville is expected to be an exciting addition to the already vibrant Nashville bar and restaurant scene: a lofty, welcoming restaurant and bar offering tacos, tequila and cocktails under a retractable roof allowing guests to enjoy the Tennessee sun any time of year,” Shannon Reese, a spokesperson for Federales, originally told the Nashville Business Journal.
