According to recently filed building permits, Charlotte-based Chex Grill and Wings is gearing up to open a Nashville location at 5101 Illinois Ave. with a tentative opening timeline of this summer. The brand is known for its casual environment and quick-service sandwiches, salads, wraps, and chicken wing combos from 5 pieces up to 100 pieces.
Chex Grill and Wings debuted in 2014 from owner and founder Khaled Hussain Shamma. Now with over 12 locations currently open and more in the works, the brand’s mission is “to be the top grill and wings brand in the US. We help strengthen the neighborhoods we serve,” as its website states. The business focuses on to-go orders and offers 40 different wing flavors.
An exact opening timeline for the location is unknown, however, permits indicate the building process will be complete by the end of July.
Permits filed with Metro show renderings for the second-generation restaurant space include 2,945 square feet, 80 indoor seats, and ample space for customers choosing to dine in. The $60,000 permit notes that there will be no expansion of the existing building footprint.
