The much sought-after Filipino bakery that has delivered its delectable ensaymadas all over the state via food caravans and pop-ups will be settling into a stationary 1,200 square foot dessert shop at 15409-15415 Lassen Street in Mission Hills.
Max and Lucy’s, which first began as a passion project at home, moved into a commercial kitchen to keep up with its demands. Their coming brick-and-mortar bakery will surely provide a space not only for the Fil-Am community but also Max and Lucy’s growing fan base that has flourished largely by word of mouth.
If you haven’t experienced the buttery sweetness of Max and Lucy’s ensaymadas, you’re in for a treat. No one describes this pastry better than the masters at Max and Lucy’s: ensaymadas are “a lavish mix of butter, sugar, and cheese–a contrasting yet blended surprise of salty-sweet flavors. Soft and light brioche buns–a home-baked cloud of goodness with every bite.”
