A new City of Angels hot spot dubbed Cosmo Palace will soon touchdown in North Hollywood in the former LA Fumee space at 10649 Burbank Boulevard, according to a recently filed liquor license confirmed by founder Lusine “Lucy” Mkrtchian.
Mkrtchian, who has founded “multiple restaurants” including Olives Mediterranean Cafe in Lancaster and Palmdale, tells What Now Los Angeles that Cosmo Palace is a “long way” from opening. “Because of construction and permits, it [may take] a year and a half,” she explains.
Not much else is known about Cosmo Palace at this juncture, but LA Fumee served as a cozy lounge and banquet hall venue before shutting down. It’s likely that the incoming concept will also strive for a relaxing yet social atmosphere given its moniker and the Cosmo cocktail’s post-workday popularity.
