Makenna Koffee Co. is opening up a third location in the Ventura Gateway shopping center where the former Starbucks used to stand. According to owner Lance Clauson, the store should be open within around three months.

The Hawaiian-themed coffee roaster got its start in Simi Valley and has a second store in Valencia. The cafe serves a wide line of traditional coffee and creative beverages including blended chillers (with flavors like java mint, hula girl and PB&J), cold brews, smoothies, teas, Red Bull drinks (including aqua berry, orange creamsicle and Starburst), as well as cake pops and hot chocolate bombs. Breakfast sandwiches, bagels, baked goods and bags of their fresh roasted coffee beans are also available for purchase.

Further details were not provided about the new location at this time.
