This spring, Tiendita, a new concept by the Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán, will be opening in the center of the Downtown Disney District. The new restaurant will join Gaytán’s two other Downtown Disney eateries, Paseo and Céntrico, also opening this spring.
Paseo’s upstairs dining area and the ground-level Céntrico courtyard bar and restaurant will feature upscale Mexican fare and tequila-based cocktails. Tiendita, located right next door, will be more of a quick service concept serving up authentic Mexican street-food.
Born in Huitzuco, Chef Carlos Gaytán is the first Mexican chef to ever receive a Michelin star. His flavors pay homage to his hometown while showcasing his years of French technique training.
