The rapidly expanding Dia de los Muertos-themed restaurant, Kalaveras, is coming soon to Oxnard. A representative for the company said they are finalizing permits with the city and should be open in around a month. The new location will occupy the former Red Lobster space at 1740 Ventura Blvd.

The fast-casual, family-owned chain imbues the spirit of Dia de los Muertos in each of its stores with vibrant colors, lively Latin music and tributes to well-known Hispanic artists.

At the bar, guests can enjoy beautifully garnished cocktails and over 100 different varieties of tequila and mezcal. And on the menu, customers can choose from a number of dishes featuring creative spins on traditional Latin American cuisine like Mexican sushi, a variety of tacos and burritos, lomo saltado, aguachiles and more.

Kalaveras currently has 25 open locations throughout Southern California and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
