Following a successful area debut in Phillips Place, BAR ONE Lounge and 800° Woodfired Kitchen are opening two more locations in the metro Charlotte area.
Now that co-owners Steven Jensen and Kyle O’Brien have established a flagship Charlotte location in Southpark, the two have their eyes on a couple of more sites. First, the duo is looking to open a new 15,000-square-foot, two-story location in Mooresville at 1459 River Highway, according to the Charlotte Observer. The new Lake Norman location will feature an 800° Woodfired Kitchen downstairs, with upstairs serving as a BAR ONE, with a spacious dining area, lake views, and lie entertainment.
When the development is finished, this site will also feature the lake’s only floating, boathouse-style bar. The new BAR ONE Lounge and 800° Woodfired Kitchen in Lake Mark is part of an overall restoration offer of Queen’s Landing. The company hopes to open this location sometime in Winter 2023.
Following this, Jensen and O’Brien will be opening a third location in South End, at 2161 Hawkins Street, in the former home of Sycamore Brewing, according to the Observer. The area is under construction and is transitioning into a luxury residential high-rise, complete with ground-floor retail. The new 2,500-square-foot South End location is expected to open in early 2024.
Southwick Architecture will design both Lake Norman and South End to match the Phillips Place look. When these locations open, customers can expect an upscale cocktail lounge from Bar One, with delicious food options from 800° Woodfired Kitchen. The latter offers plenty of delicious entrees, including Filet Mignon, Woodfired Salmon, and Prosciutto & Burrata pizza.
“What’s appealing to me is we’re really part of the fabric of the community,” Jensen told the Observer. “At the end of the day, when we’re done expanding, we’ll employ over 600 people making 5 to 10 times minimum wage, with health insurance and matching 401K. To me, that’s more of an accomplishment than opening three restaurants. What people can look forward to is spending time with people and good food. “
