While sober-living and healthy-living lifestyles have been gaining popularity in major cities, The Roaring Social hopes to bring the same alcohol-free experience to Mooresville.

Since last year, owner Casey Dolan has been serving the community through pop-ups and private events with her alcohol-free social experience, according to Unpretentious Palate. Guests of all ages are welcome to try well-rounded mocktails made with a focus on quality. Some options include an espresso martini and the Evelyn, made with Ritual zero-proof gin and house-made syrups topped with sparkling rose lemonade. This is just the beginning for Dolan.

On top of creating delicious mocktails, Dolan is collaborating with a couple of local restaurants to help with education and development. Eventually, the business owner hopes to combine her two passions, baking and promoting an alcohol-free lifestyle, and opening a brick-and-mortar serving as a non-alcoholic dessert bar. In the meantime, Dolan plans to focus on her pop-ups and private events, already serving the Camden Commons, Front Porch Sundays, or Nebel’s Alley Night Market.

“I wanted to give everyone a space to go where there wasn’t any alcohol,” Dolan tells Unpretentious Palate. “I wanted to remove that element completely so that it wasn’t even an option. I think having that distinction is huge because when you say it’s a zero-proof cocktail, it needs to be made with alcohol that’s zero-proof. That way, if you have someone recovering or sober, they know they can drink. If you have your daughter or your son with you and they want to drink, they can get a drink from me. It’s nice that we have something for everybody.”
