Bobby’s Burgers, the renowned burger chain from Food Network chef Bobby Flay, is opening a new location in Charlotte’s SouthPark at 6000 Fairview Rd.

The new corporate-owned location will move into The Towers at SouthPark, a two-building office complex owned by Crestlight Capital, first reported by Axios Charlotte. Flay and local restaurateur Frank Scibelli, who is investing in the project and will be an adviser. The new Bobby’s Burgers is expected to open in Spring 2024, with another site opening at the end of the year at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

“I’m thrilled that we are opening our flagship Bobby’s Burgers in Charlotte, North Carolina,” Flay said in a news release. “It will be an amazing resource for ongoing R&D and a place to bring serious operators who are considering joining the Bobby’s Burgers experience. Charlotte was handpicked because it is the headquarters for our executive team in charge of franchising.”

When these locations open, customers can expect the restaurant’s staple menu items, such as the Crunchburger, BBQ Smokehouse Burger, Nacho Burger, his fried chicken sandwich, and the winning “Beat Bobby Flay” Veggie Burger, made with barbecue mushrooms, chickpeas, quinoa, queso, lettuce tomato, and Bobby’s Sauce. The new restaurant will also serve as Flay’s test kitchen, where he will personally craft and perfect all new recipes.

“Bobby brings the kind of innovation that will surely disrupt the burger scene in Charlotte, which is one of the many reasons his brand is perfect for our community,” Scibelli said in a press release. “I have spent decades helping transform a variety of casual dining brands from promising concepts into household names across the Carolinas, so investing with this team under Bobby’s expertise just makes sense. We are thrilled to bring Bobby Flay’s Ultimate Burger Experience to Charlotte.”
