After recently announcing plans to open a second location in LoSo, The People’s Market is getting ready to expand again in Charlotte, this time coming to Myers Park at 2810 Selwyn Ave.

The company’s third location is preparing to move to the ground floor of the Tranquil Court, replacing Mellow Mushroom, in Summer 2024, according to the Charlotte Observer. The 6,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor market will feature its bright yellow accent seen at the original location and a covered outdoor patio. Owner Cory Duran founded The People’s Market in 2017 and announced last year that he is opening a second location in LoSo later this year.

The company should see no problems getting customers in its doors when this new location opens this summer. The new People’s Market will be an excellent place for anyone in the brownstone-inspired luxury condos and condominiums to get a bite to eat. When this site opens, customers can expect a variety of sandwiches, pizza, and vegan meals. While many are still arguing whether or not pineapple belongs on pizza, The People’s Market will offer its Tommy Pickles Pizza at the new location, which features pickles as a topping.

“We are thrilled to expand our concept to the esteemed Myers Park neighborhood,” Duran tells the Charlotte Observer. “Ongoing expansion is part of our business model, and this location closely matches our brand’s mission to be a family-friendly, community gathering place to eat, work, and play. Our goal remains the same: give the people what they want! We’re planning to deliver our cherished menu favorites to Myers Park, complemented by some exciting new ideas.”
