Heist Brewery is making its way toward reopening after it closed in July due to a fire that caused more than $1 million in damage.

However, the team is facing setbacks as insurance coverage is figured out, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

The 12,000-square-foot location at 2909 N. Davidson Street is still awaiting the start of construction, though preliminary steps were taken after the fire to clean the building and mitigate damage.

While it remains unclear precisely when they will be able to finish construction and reopen, owner Kurt Hogan told the Business Journal they are hoping to reopen this coming spring.

“We’re ready for that point. It feels like an eternity. There’s a lot of questions out there that we don’t have the answers to. We’re just trying to get moving,” Hogan told the Business Journal.

The brewpub first opened its doors in 2012. It serves beer as well as food items like salads, bang bang shrimp, tacos, burgers and woodfired flatbreads.

The brand also has two locations called Livy’s Pizzeria, which remain open.
