The team at ParTee Shack has a brand new concept heading to the Raleigh market. Battle and Birdie is currently under construction at 7407 Six Forks Road, and the team is targeting a late summer opening, co-owner John Berger told What Now Charlotte.

Battle and Birdie will combine a bar, mini golf and laser tag into one concept.

“It’s more of an adult-centric facility. It will have a full bar and lounge,” Berger said. “We’re doing more high-tech mini golf, so a lot of motors and lights.”

There will also be two tactical laser tag arenas where people can participate in mission-based sessions.

This new brand comes as ParTee Shack continues to grow. The team is opening a ParTee Shack at North Raleigh’s Plantation Pointe Shopping Center in April, as previously reported by What Now Charlotte. That location will offer 36 new holes, duckpin bowling and virtual reality experiences.

“If you go to any of our ParTee Shack locations, you won’t see the same hole repeated, which is pretty cool,” Berger said. “It gives everyone a fresh look at some of the obstacles that we do.”

For Berger, the goal is always to create something new for customers to experience, a philosophy that he and the team are carrying over into the Battle and Birdie brand.

“We would like to expand in number of locations and bring something new to the table every time,” Berger said. “We’re constantly brainstorming to bring to market what people are looking for in terms of entertainment. Make it fresh, make it different.”

John and Caroline Berger, Jimmy Garcia and Zeinab Diab opened the first ParTee Shack in Raleigh in 2021, featuring mini golf courses, an arcade and a full-service snack bar with menu items like pizza, hot dogs, beer and seltzers. There is also a location open in Greensboro.

ParTee Shack is expected to expand into the South Carolina market soon, with plans for a Charleston location in the works. Berger said they are looking at spots in the south Charlotte area, as well.

“We’re excited to keep bringing the locations to the people,” Berger said. “I know people are always looking for something fun to do.”
