Shanti Indian Cuisine, a pair of Indian restaurants with locations in Roslindale and Dorchester, is looking to add a new concept to the mix, according to a virtual Licensing Board hearing. BATI Indian Kitchen by Shanti recently applied for a Common Victualler License to be exercised on the first floor of Hub Hall Boston at 80 Causeway St. Should the application gain approval, BATI will provide an intimate dining setting accommodating up to fifteen patrons.

The culinary influence of Shanti extends beyond its flagship restaurants, as co-owners Solmon and Rokeya Chowdhury also preside over a pair of sister cafes called Dudley Cafe, strategically positioned in Roxbury and Cambridge. More than just culinary destinations, these cafes serve as thriving community hubs that actively help to foster “arts, music, and youth empowerment.”

While little is known about BATI in these early stages, eager patrons can anticipate a harmonious blend of traditional Indian flavors and innovative culinary twists. Drawing from the Chowdhury family’s proven track record in delivering exceptional dining experiences, BATI Indian Kitchen is slated to become a culinary gem within Hub Hall Boston. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
