Phil Frattaroli of Filmark Hospitality Group is keeping busy as he prepares to introduce Greater Boston to two new dining destinations, as reported by The Boston Globe.

First up is The Layover, Eastie’s latest tropical rooftop bar. Nestled atop Cunard Tavern at 24 Orleans St, this oasis in the sky is set to debut next week. Patrons can expect a delightful array of island-inspired cocktails and light bites with global influences. Menu highlights include coconut-crusted shrimp tacos, pineapple teriyaki sliders, and Thai-inspired coconut curry skewers.

Simultaneously, Frattaroli is hard at work on Caffé Ducali, an Italian-inspired espresso bar slated to open this fall in Winchester. Alongside a selection of caffeinated delights, the café will offer pastries, breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, and a variety of piadinas (traditional Italian flatbreads). Caffé Ducali already flaunts a successful location at the entrance of Boston’s North End, which opened its doors in 2020.

Filmark Hospitality Group boasts a diverse portfolio of local eateries, including Ristorante Lucia in both the North End and Winchester Center and The Pine Bar in the Boston Public Market, as well as the previously mentioned Cunard Tavern and Ducali Pizzeria & Bar, Caffé Ducali’s neighboring sister eatery.

Stay tuned for further updates on Caffé Ducali, and mark your calendars for The Layover’s grand opening next week.
