Located at 3557 Webber Street, popular Mexican spot Guerrero’s Bakery and Mexican Restaurant is a Sarasota favorite. On its website, Guerrero’s curates a selection of appreciative comments from guests.

“This is true Mexican food,” says one.

“Go ahead on in!” says another. “You’ll find the service to be attentive, the food to be authentic, tasty and plentiful, and the dining areas, bathrooms, bakery and retail space to be immaculate.”

Now Guerrero’s appears to be getting into the ice cream business. A recently submitted plan review submitted by Guerrero Ice Cream LLC shows Guerrero Ice Cream opening at 3545 Webber Street, right next door to Guerrero’s Bakery.

What Now reached out to Guerrero’s owner Ruben Guerrero to inquire about plans for a new ice cream shop. Guerrero was not immediately available for comment.
