After launching at 2961 N Dale Mabry Highway #101 and in the Shops at Wiregrass, growing Nashville hot chicken franchise Dave’s Hot Chicken is continuing to expand its footprint in the Tampa Bay market. According to recent coverage by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the chain is preparing to launch a new location in Odessa.
“With our first few units being a big success, we wanted to move into Pasco County, an area with a massive amount of growth and resources over the past few years,” franchisee Ian Lieberman says in the Business Journal Coverage.
Founded in an East Hollywood parking lot, Dave’s Hot Chicken has grown explosively, becoming a major contender in the fast-casual chicken space with its “Reaper” hot sauce (which you’ll have to sign a waiver to try!). The chain has more than 100 locations nationwide, and its growth has been steady in recent years.
The menu at Dave’s Hot Chicken is a streamlined affair focusing on tenders and sliders served up alongside sides like Fries, Cheese Fries, Mac & Cheese, and Kale Slaw. With seven different spice levels, it’s not all or nothing; if you want your chicken spicy but not waiver spicy, there are spice levels like Mild, Medium, Hot, and Extra Hot.
“What sets us apart from our competitors is the quality of our product. The halal chicken keeps every piece crunchy on the outside but moist inside,” Lieberman adds in the coverage.
