Taste of Lagos, a Florida-based caterer and online purveyor of Nigerian food products, looks to be preparing to debut its own restaurant. Plan review paperwork submitted by Ellenton USA LLC shows a Taste of Lagos opening planned for 11130 US Hwy 41 S in Gibsonton.

What Now reached out to co-owner Anire Adegbesan to inquire about plans for a Taste of Lagos brick-and-mortar. Adegbesan declined to comment at this time. (The brand does mention a restaurant in its bio on Instagram, though!)

You can already check out the Taste of Lagos website to order dishes like Jollof Rice, Peppered Fish, and Egusi Soup with pounded yam wraps for catering, as well as purchase other food products.

“At Taste of Lagos, we’re excited to bring the rich and vibrant flavors of Nigerian cuisine straight to your table,” the website says. (And they may soon provide the table!) “Our carefully curated food menu offers a wide range of mouthwatering dishes, perfect for any occasion—whether you’re hosting a party, enjoying a family gathering, or simply craving authentic Nigerian meals.”

We’re looking forward to seeing how Taste of Lagos’s catering menu (viewable here) would translate into a brick-and-mortar restaurant concept.
