Delicious fast-casual Mediterranean food is inching its way closer to the ready stomachs of Union Market diners. Greco Truly Greek is preparing to open a new location in the region later this year, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The chain will be opening its second DC location at 1285 4th Street, NE. Greco has not announced an official opening date yet, stating only that it is planning to begin greeting guests at the Union Market spot in late spring or early summer.

Photos show that construction is visibly underway on the space and signage has been hung, building anticipation in the local community for Greco’s signature approach to authentic Greek street food. The menu allows guests to choose from pitas, plates, salads, and souvlaki, while offering an impressive variety of sides. The eatery allows patrons to customize their meals; while Greco offers certain house recipes for its various dishes, guests can choose to curate their food, selecting their favorite proteins and sauces.
