A popular Mediterranean chain is bringing its falafel and pitas to Sterling, hot on the heels of its Leesburg debut. Mezeh is opening a second Loudoun County location at the developing Cascades Marketplace, reports local media outlet The Burn.

The DMV-regional favorite is moving into the 1,900 square foot space at 21021 Southbank Street that formerly housed a Starbucks. The announcement of Mezeh’s Sterling arrival is still very new, and an opening timeline has not been announced.

The growing concept applies the increasingly popular “build-your-own” model to Mediterranean cuisine. Customers are invited to curate their meals by choosing between bowls, flatbread wraps, and pita pockets. They then select greens, proteins, toppings, and sauces.

Mezeh is joining an impressive selection of culinary heavy-hitters at the Cascades Marketplace. The shopping center is also welcoming Shake Shack, CHIKO, and Taco Bamba as it attempts a revitalization.

Founded in Maryland in 2012, Mezeh has enjoyed considerable success across the East Coast, heavily saturated in DMV locations. The chain now has more than 50 stores.
