The owners of a defunct Ethiopian restaurant are taking another crack at storming the DC dining scene. The founders of Queen of Sheba are opening a new concept called Mereb Restaurant and Lounge, reports popular Twitter feed @eat_dc.

The restaurant will be occupying a space at 5215 Georgia Avenue NW. According to the liquor license application documents supplied by the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration, the facility will be able to accommodate up to 65 guests. Mereb will be open from 8 am to 4 am, Sunday through Saturday. An opening timeline is not currently available.

What Now DC has reached out to owner Embzam Misgina, but has not yet heard back. The licensing documents suggest that the restaurant will offer dancing and live entertainment from 5 pm to 2 am, Sunday through Thursday, and 5 pm to 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as requesting a cover charge.
