One of DC’s top restaurateurs is back at it, though this time cloaked in mystery. Steve Salis, the founder and CEO of the Catalogue hospitality group, has acquired a new property, reports the Washington Business Journal.

Salis has not yet revealed his intentions for the Barracks Row property, located at 527 Eighth Street, SE. The entrepreneur has fully purchased the 4,000 square foot property that previously housed Joey’s, which closed earlier this month. Salis closed the deal on the location on September 9th of this year.

Though Salis has not stated his plans for the location, he has established himself as a hospitality professional to be watched. Catalogue can claim several of DC’s favorite restaurants, including Ted’s Bulletin, Kramers, Honeymoon, Federalist Pig, and Sidekick.

Salis and Catalogue have helped revitalize the Ted’s Bulletin brand, suggesting the entrepreneur has the business acumen and sense to make the Barracks Row location a future District favorite.
