Shaq’s Big Chicken Announces Second Eastern Michigan Location

Anticipated in Highland, west Oakland County in spring 2024

We reported that Shaq’s Big Chicken was adding 20 stores in Eastern Michigan in September. The multi-unit franchisee, H&D Group Investment, announced today a second location in the works at 1050 Highland Road in Highland in west Oakland County. The location is close to the shopping center off Enterprise Drive and is anticipated to open in the spring of 2024.

Other partners of Eastern Michigan locations include Las Vegas-based ownership group JRS Hospitality and multi-national, multi-billion-dollar brand development, marketing, and entertainment company Authentic Brands Group. Additional restaurant locations on the horizon will be in core Michigan markets including Flint, Saginaw, Lansing, Mount Pleasant, and Metro Detroit.

“We’re pleased with the progress we’ve made thus far in securing premium real estate to open Big Chicken locations across eastern Michigan,” said a spokesperson from H&D Group Investments.

Big Chicken currently has locations open in Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Seattle; Houston; Gilbert, Arizona; Rosemont, Illinois and in the Dayton, Ohio region, as well as in metro-New York’s UBS Arena, The Comcast Center in Philadelphia, The Moody Center in Austin, ASU’s Mullett Arena, The Footprint Center in Phoenix, Palm Springs’ Acrisure Arena, St. Louis’s Busch Stadium, Kansas City International Airport and on three Carnival Cruise ships.

The first Eastern Michigan Big Chicken, as previously confirmed, will open at 11476 N. Linden Road in Clio in early 2024. By the time of this coverage, a representative from H&D Group Investments was not available for comments.
