Ellison Brewery and its second-floor event space closed last December. The vacant building is now being turned into a new restaurant and event space called REO Town Clubhouse. This story was first seen in Lansing State Journal.

Local couple Desirea and Bruce Kring, who also own Gravity Smokehouse & BBQ, have signed the lease for the building at 1314 S. Washington Ave. According to Lansing State Journal, the Krings are hoping to open the new concept by the end of the year.

“We’re opening a new restaurant and entertainment venue, serving up Italian dishes like hearty pasta and specialty pizzas, all made with the freshest ingredients. Pair your meal with our craft beers, specialty cocktails, or fine wines. Stay tuned for our grand opening!” The owners posted on Facebook.

The clubhouse will also feature eight high-quality tables in the billiard hall for a night of fun and big screens for sports viewing. There will also be live dueling pianos on the weekends, according to another post.

What Now Detroit reached out to the Krings for comments but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
