A sought after product in grocery store isles is being put on more burgers this year.
The chain ZipSauce will soon debut a restaurant in the township at 41554 Garfield Road. CEO Michael Esshaki told What Now Detroit the team is also working on a location on 10 Mile in Warren to debut sometime next month. Right now, they are looking to open the Clinton Township spot around Nov. 23.
The company started off selling the flavorful sauce around the country, now in over 4,500 stores. After successfully selling their burgers out of a food truck, the team has expanded to Shelby Township, Port Huron and Westland. Right now, Esshaki is just looking at the Metro Detroit market.
“ZipSauce Burger started with a simple mission: to bring the classic American burger experience back to Michigan. What makes us different? It’s all about the sauce,” says the description on their website.
Burgers at ZipSauce are layered, like the double cheese Zipburger with two quarter-pound prime beef patties, grilled onions and two slices of American cheese. Options other than burgers include the Zipchicken with a crispy breaded chicken breast, a philly cheesesteak and nuggets. Entrees come with sides like bacon cheese fries and bacon cajun fries.
The building is on the east side of Garfield Road, just north of a McDonald’s and Taco Bell. Other restaurants in this area include Country Inn, Tommy’s Diner and Hamlin Pub. This is near the intersection of Canal Road.
As it gets closer to the opening date, more updates on the Clinton Township location can be found on their Instagram @zipsauceburger.
